Powerfully Relaxing New Age Piano...

The winter of 2014-2015 was, where I'm living (Ann Arbor, MI) somewhat brutal - not tons of snow but very cold and bitter.  As spring came around and it started to warm up a bit we felt so relieved and thankful!  About that time, I sat down to put together some relaxing new age piano pieces and out popped The Promise Of Spring.

I've always been a frustrated piano player - my fingers can't quite keep up with my mind, unlike what I can do on the sax - so this album gave me the perfect opportunity (er, excuse) to totally immerse myself in the grand piano.  It was total heaven, to the point that I didn't want to stop!  But alas, the saxophone beckoned and I had to move on to the next project (which was Ain't No Mountain High Enough).

Some of these songs are obvious references to the coming of spring but a couple of them refer to my constant companions, two of our three Yorkies, Simon and Stella (the third, Savannah, has her song on Saxual Healing).

I intend these songs to be peaceful, relaxing, meditative and inspiring.  I hope you find some promise of renewal and rejoicing in them, too.

Enjoy!

What Our Fans Say...

I love your music and I have listened to the CD's I have of yours for hundred's of hours. I have them on my laptop, my iPod, and I have a great stereo system in my truck that allows me to put CD's onto a Hard Drive so I don't have to messing with CD's. All for my listening pleasure! The main reason I wanted to write is to express how thankful I am to have had your beautiful music in my life. This year I spent two weeks in the hospital and over six weeks at home recovering, and I wanted to share with you how much your music meant to me during that time. My husband brought my iPod to me when I was in the hospital, after I told him I didn't want to be bothered with music (that meant I was REALLY sick). Well, he did (I guess you already figured that out). It sat for a couple of days, then I decided to pick it up and try to distract me from being there. I picked your music and hit play. The heart monitor stayed pretty steady at 125 beats per minute, which is really high. I laid there and listened to your music for about 35 minutes and when I opened my eyes and just happened to look at the monitor, it had dropped over 20 beats!!!! The nurse was walking in at that time and even made the comment about it, I said, "I guess music does heal." Well I made it home and was on an oxygen tank for almost a month and had to stay in the house for over six weeks. Which is okay considering I live in Big Bear and in January and February is nasty most of the time. I continued listening to your CD's, even the Christmas ones, and my heart rate dropped, my breathing became deeper and slower. Now I am back to being in fantastic health, and I still listen to your CD's constantly! I just really wanted to say thank you and I will always be a fan of yours! ~Jeanine Sturgeon, Big Bear, CA
